Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) was set up by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and initiated its functions from the year 1974. To meet the ever-evolving challenges in the education system and make education more popular among students, the board adopted the semester system and bifurcated the HSLC examination into Class 9 and Class 10 examination. NBSE Class 9 syllabus of Maths and Science are developed by the Board. The syllabus is all about course structure, topics and sub-topics, unit wise marking schemes, projects, assignments, question paper pattern, etc.
