Solution
Amphipathic molecules
Molecules with both hydrophilic (polar/water-loving) and hydrophobic (non-polar/water-repelling) ends are called amphipathic molecules.
Example- lipids.
Nucleic acids:
They are long-chain polymers.
They are responsible for the transmission of hereditary material.
They are hydrophilic in nature. This helps in forming bonds with water molecules.
Example- DNA & RNA.
