  1. A process where green plants convert light energy into chemical energy.
  2. CO2 & water are converted into glucose and oxygen.
  3. It can occur in artificial light, provided the plant receives the correct wavelength of the light spectrum.
  4. Maximum photosynthesis occurs between 600-700 nm in the red end, which is followed by 400-500 nm in the blue region, and the least between 500-600 nm in the green region.
