How can the diversity of proteins in living organisms be explained?

Diversity of proteins:

  1. There are two types of protein found in the living organism: globular and fibrous.
    1. Globular proteins are linked with enzymes, hormones, antibodies, and many more. For example Myoglobin, insulin, etc.
    2. Fibrous proteins are linked with muscle, cartilage, bones, etc. For example Keratin, collagen, etc.
  2. Proteins perform diverse functions from structural to functional, this proves the diversification of proteins in living organisms.
  3. There are many genes in the human body that code for proteins and evolution taking place is also related to protein.
  4. Example- haemoglobin, myoglobin, etc.
