Light:

  1. The first limiting factor is light and without light photosynthesis cannot perform.
  2. The energy from the light converts carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen.
  3. If the light intensity is excessive then chlorophyll might be damaged.

Temperature:

  1. Enzymes are affected due to temperature.
  2. At the low-temperature enzymes no longer work properly so the rate of photosynthesis decreased.
  3. The same thing additionally happens at excessive temperatures.
  4. In high temperatures, enzymes might be damaged.

Carbon dioxide:

  1. Carbon dioxide is used to supply oxygen and glucose.
  2. The carbon dioxide level is directly proportional to the photosynthesis rate.
  3. High carbon dioxide will accelerate the process.

Water:

  1. Water affects the rate of photosynthesis indirectly.
  2. Water stress causes the stomata to close, as a consequence decreasing the provision of CO2.
