How Do You Interpret Trace Fossils

Also known as Ichnofossils, trace fossils are the geological records of behaviours and activities of extinct organisms. Do note that such fossils do not actually contain remains of the organism. Instead, evidence of their activities, such as burrows, footprints and nests are fossilized.
