White blood cells:

  2. An average healthy human contains 4500-11000 white blood cells in the bloodstream.
  3. If the white blood cell concentration is higher than average, it is referred to as leukocytosis.
  4. This condition is created when the body is having an allergic response or is infected by bacteria, viruses, or fungi.
  5. Based on the nature of the infection, it takes the body up to 5 to 25 days for the white blood cell count to return to normal.
