Open in App
Solution

Adrenal medulla:

  1. The adrenal medulla is a part of the endocrine system as well as the neural control system.
  2. It releases the hormones adrenaline and nor-adrenaline which are catecholamines.
  3. These catecholamines also function as neurotransmitters.
  4. Adrenal medullary cells secrete hormones in the blood and act at a distant site through receptors like other endocrine glands.
