  1. Scorpions are organisms which can hold their breath for up to even 6 days.
  2. Scorpions are called arachnids, which are members of the animal kingdom's arachnid class.
  3. Their modified lungs, which are known as book lungs, also allow them to hold their breath for long.
  4. The scorpion's book lungs also have the shape of folded pages of a book, which is why they're named such.
  5. The book lungs also allow them to trap the most quantity of air which is possible throughout the air exchange process.
  6. This large reservoir of air also allows scorpions to survive & hold their breath for up to 6 days while they are underwater.
