Ovaries:

  2. The mature ovary contains food tissue covered by one or two future seed coats, known as integuments.

Types of ovules:

Orthotropus ovule:

  1. Orthotropus ovule is the simplest and most primitive type of ovule.
  2. In this type of ovary, the micropile, chalaza, and funiculus are located in a vertical plane.

Anatropus ovule:

  1. Anatropus ovule is one in which the curvature during development is located next to the funicular base in the displacement of the micropyle.

Hemianatropus ovule:

  1. When the nucleus and integuments are more or less at right angles to the funnel.

Campylotropous ovule:

  1. A campylotropous ovule is a type of curved nucleus in which the micropile almost touches the funiculus.
