Zooids:

  1. Cnidaria produce colonies composed of polyp-like zooids.
  2. Zooids help in defense, reproduction and catching of prey.
  3. Example: In Obelia, gastrozooids are capable of asexual reproduction and gonozooids are sexually reproducing.
