Solution

Chromosome:

  2. Chromosomes are formed of chromatin (further composed of double-helix DNA) wound around histone proteins.
  3. It is found in the nucleus of each cell.

Daughters inherit an X-chromosome from their fathers.

  1. Since females are homogametic (having two X-chromosomes; XX), they inherit one from their mother and one from their father.
  2. For instance, the gene for insulin-like growth factor (IGF) is inherited from the X-chromosome of the father.
