Solution

Chromosomes:

  1. These are super-condensed structures present inside the nucleus that is composed of chromatin (containing DNA) and histone proteins.
  2. It contains genetic information.
  3. Secondary Constrictions give chromosomes an appearance of a smaller fragment.
  4. Some chromosomes have a non-staining secondary constriction at a certain position that imparts an appearance of small fragments called satellites.
  5. Secondary constrictions can be identified from the centromere at anaphase as there is bending present only at the centromere (primary constriction).
