Cardiomyopathy:

  1. It is a main cardiac muscle condition that results in impaired myocardial function.
  2. Often the cause is unknown in the case of this disorder.
  3. These are of three types namely- dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, and restrictive cardiomyopathy.

Dilated cardiomyopathy:

  1. It's a disorder in which the heart's ability to pump blood is hampered because the left ventricle, the heart's main pumping chamber, is enlarged or weakened.
  2. Cardiomyopathy of this sort is the most frequent.
  3. Dilated cardiomyopathy is a type of heart muscle disease that causes the heart chambers (ventricles) to thin and stretch, growing larger.
  4. This illness can be caused by a variety of factors, including alcohol, viral infection, and autoimmune diseases.
