Classification of bones:

  2. Short bones: These are cube-shaped and short bones that are present in the ankles and wrists.
  3. Long bones:
  1. These bones act as levers as they are longer than they are wide.
  2. This type of bone includes the tibia, humerus, ulna, femur, metacarpals, and other bones in the lower and upper extremities.

4. Irregular bones:

  1. These are the bones that do not fit into any of the preceding categories and have a variety of sizes, forms, and surface characteristics.
  2. It consists of a few skull bones as well as the bones of the vertebrae.
