Solution

Spermatogenesis:

  1. Spermatogenesis is the process through which male gametes, sometimes known as sperm, develop within the male reproductive organs, the testes.
  2. This procedure often happens in the seminiferous tubules of the testes in phases.
  3. This process begins throughout puberty and continues till the individual dies.

Number of chromosomes present in a spermatid during spermatogenesis:

  1. Spermatids are the outcome of the first meiotic division of primary spermatocytes, which produces a pair of spermatocytes to complete meiosis (second division).
  2. Spermatids are produced via the spermatogenesis process, and cells engage in spermiogenesis to create spermatozoa.
  3. Spermatids have 23 chromosomes and are haploid.
  4. Spermatids go through spermiogenesis before becoming mature spermatozoa.
