Dengue fever:

  1. Dengue is a viral disease.
  2. It is caused by a virus that belongs to the genus Flavivirus.
  3. It belongs to the Flavi viridae family.
  4. It is transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.
  5. Once a person gets infected with one of the strains, their body builds up an immunity to only that particular strain of the virus.

Symptoms of dengue fever:

  1. High fever
  2. Nausea
  3. Vomiting
  4. Muscle or joint pain.
