Aerobic respiration:

  1. Aerobic respiration is a process in which oxygen is used in the catabolism of foods, primarily carbohydrates, to produce carbon dioxide and water, with the electrons produced passing through an electron transport chain.
  2. Any cell or creature with a clearly defined nucleus is called a eukaryote.
  3. The nucleus of a eukaryotic cell is surrounded by a nuclear membrane, which contains some good chromosomes (bodies containing the genetic material).

Process of aerobic cellular respiration occurs in eukaryotic cells:

  1. Mitochondria is where aerobic respiration takes place.
  2. Glycolysis, Krebs's cycle, and the electron transport chain are the stages of aerobic respiration that occur.
  3. Except for red blood cells, it is a cell organelle found in all cells.
  4. The ETC and Krebs's cycles take place in the mitochondrial matrix.
  5. Aerobic respiration will proceed if oxygen is present.
  6. Pyruvate molecules formed at the end of glycolysis are carried to mitochondria, which have been the sites of cellular respiration, in eukaryotic cells.
