Solution

Diuresis:

Diuresis is a condition in which the kidneys filter an excessive amount of fluid from the body.

Anti-Diuretic hormone ( ADH):

  1. It is also called as vasopressin.
  2. The hypothalamus produces ADH, which is then transmitted axonally to the neurohypophysis ( posterior pituitary gland).
  3. It acts primarily on the kidney.
  4. It increases distal tubule resorption of water and electrolytes, lowering water loss through urine (diuresis).
