Open in App
Solution

  1. In 1677, English naturalist named Robert Plot discovered the first ever dinosaur bones
  2. He also illustrated them in his work – The Natural History of Oxford-shire.
  3. However, he attributed the bones he found to a giant human rather than a dinosaur.

Dinosaur:

  1. Largest animals ever to live were dinosaurs of the Jurassic Period. Reptiles were also capable of laying amniotic eggs, which kept the developing young moist and nourished during gestation. This allowed for the first fully terrestrial animal life cycles. Dinosaurs may have been the dominant land animals.
  2. Dinosaur bones are biodegradable as the bones mineralize by replacing their structure with other inorganic materials. this is one of the reason also why fossilized Dinosaur bones last a long time.
