Plasmids:

  1. Plasmids are small double-stranded DNA that are different from chromosomal DNA.
  2. They are mostly present in bacteria and some eukaryotes.
  3. The bacteria which have plasmids have a genetic advantage, one such advantage is being antibiotic-resistant.
  4. Some pathogenic bacteria carry multidrug-resistant plasmids which have increased the major causes.
