The National Testing Agency has extended the registration deadline for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2022 till 15 May, which was previously 6th May. The candidates can register for the examination at neet.nta.nic.in.
The reason for this extension is that the Armed Forces Medical Colleges have made a decision to manage the admissions for BSc Nursing courses via the NEET exam only. A total of 220 seats are offered in this course by the following institutes: College of Nursing at AFMC Pune, CH Kolkata, INHS Mumbai, AH New Delhi, CH Lucknow, and Bangalore.
The NTA notification read βIt has also been decided by the Director-General, Armed Forces Medical Services that the scores of NEET UG will be used for the selection of FEMALE Candidates Only for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Course. The last date for receiving Online Applications for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) β 2022 for all the candidates has been extendedβ.
The NEET-UG 2022 exam is to be conducted on July 17th. To get admission in any reputed Medical college, to pursue an MBBS degree, students must qualify the NEET-UG 2022 exam. Other than MBBS, the NEET exam is also used to determine the eligibility of admission for allied courses, that are BDS, AYUSH courses, BSc Nursing, BSc Life Sciences and Veterinary courses.
The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 20 minutes, which will start at 2:00 pm and end at 5:20 pm. The exam will have negative marking, one mark will be deducted per wrong answer. The exam will be divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, where the Bio section will have questions from both Botany and Zoology.
