The conducting authority of NEET Post Graduation 2018, National Board of Examinations (NBE) has decided to conduct the upcoming 2018 post-graduation National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG) in two exam centers for candidates appearing in the valley of Kashmir.
Around 2,000 candidates from the Kashmir province have registered for the test which is to be conducted on January 7th, 2018. In view of a large number of applicants appearing for the examination, several requests were made from various departments to allow different examination centers, to avoid inconvenience for the upcoming NEET PG Exam.
The names of examination centers will be announced later. Also, it is expected that both the examination centers can together accommodate around 600 to 700 students for the test scheduled on 7th January 2018, however, at least 2000 candidates are expected to appear from Kashmir. Therefore, it is decided to allocate seats on “first come, first serve basis” and the remaining candidates will have to write their exams outside the examination centers. The applicants are asked to reply to emails seeking their consent for appearing in the Valley centers by December 4th. As per the directives issued by the Supreme Court of India in 2016, NBE will conduct NEET PG on a single day and in a single session throughout the country from the year 2018 onwards.
