APSET 2023: Notification, Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus

APSET is a state-level examination conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of the state government. It is a popular exam among postgraduate students seeking teaching positions in institutions owned and operated by the state. The APSET exam is held for more than 30 subjects and is known to be quite competitive. Aspirants from all over the state participate in this exam. APSET 2023 exam is a highly anticipated event expected to be conducted soon. The exam consists of two papers that test a candidate’s general aptitude and subject-specific knowledge. The selection process for APSET consists of a written exam with two papers and Document Verification.

Candidates who qualify for the APSET exam are issued an e-certificate. This certificate allows candidates to apply for Lectureships and also exempts them from many PhD entrance exams in state universities. This way, candidates are saved from appearing in multiple entrance exams for different universities.

APSET 2023 Exam Date

Candidates should align their preparation with the APSET exam date for increased productivity. Knowing the important dates regarding APSET will also help candidates stay updated and ensure they meet all deadlines.

APSET Eligibility

To participate in the exam without any hassles, candidates should ensure they are fulfilling APSET eligibility criteria. Else, they risk their candidature getting canceled. Two important factors of APSET eligibility are age limit and qualification.

APSET Age Limit

There is no cap on the upper age limit for the APSET exam. Thus, candidates of all age groups can participate in it.

APSET Qualification

A candidate must have a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks to participate in the exam. For reserved categories, the percentage required is 50%. Candidates should note that they can only appear in the APSET exam for the subject in which they have their degree.

APSET Exam Pattern

APSET exam pattern is the structure on which the question paper is based. It also informs candidates of the crucial details of the exam. APSET comprises two sections; Paper 1 is generic, whereas Paper 2 is specific to the subject chosen by the candidate.

• Paper 1 consists of 50 questions, whereas Paper 2 consists of 100. The total number of questions asked in the exam is 150.
• For every correct answer, candidates are awarded 2 marks in both papers.
• The total marks of both papers are 300 marks.
• The exam does not have provisions for negative marking.
• APSET is held in offline mode and consists of objective-type questions.
• The exam is in Telugu and English, except for the Language courses of Paper 2.
