The wait is finally over for class 10 students of West Bengal, as the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has finally announced the Madhyamik 2022 results, which are now available on the official website of the board.
It's a moment of pride for Arnab Ghorai and his family, as the student has secured the first position with a total score of 693 marks out of 700, which is 99 percentile. Arnab is from Ramharipur Ramkrishna High School.
The wind of happiness is flying in East Midnapore as the district has scored the highest pass percentage of 97.83 percentage. The reason for happiness does not stop there, two of the toppers Ananya Dasgupt and Debshika Pradhan who have shared the 3rd position belong to this district.

The results were declared on 3 June 2022, at 9 a.m in a press conference which was chaired by the President of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, Kalyanmoy Ganguly. The provisional result was made available on the official website of the board at 10 a.m., today.
The overall pass percentage is 86.60% for the state, and the overall pass percentage of the capital, Kolkata, is 94.38%. Out of 9,49,927 students who appeared for Madhyamik 2022, 114 students have registered themselves in the merit list. The 2nd position is shared by 2 people Raunak Mandal and kaushiki Sarkar with 691 marks, the 4th position is shared by 4 candidates; Pathabhaban Sutasree Tripathi, Abhishek Dutta, Sadhik Kumar Dey and Abhik Das with 690 marks.
Around 11 students share the 5th position with 689 marks, 6 students share the 6th position with 688 marks, 10 students share 7th position with 687 marks, 22 students share the 8th position with 686 marks, 15 students share the 9th position with 685 marks and at total of 40 students share the 10th position with 684 marks.
In the race of overall pass percentage, boys have outperformed themselves with 88.59%, whereas girl’s pass percentage is 85%. There is a sense of achievement as the percentage of female candidates who enrolled for the exam has increased by 11%.
For the past two years the Madhyamik was on a pause due to the covid-10 pandemic. Students were being evaluated on the basis of their internal assessments and projects. The pass percentage was 100% last year. But this year the exams were conducted in two parts; Term 1 and Term 2 under the instruction of the Indian government.
Hard copies of the marksheets and pass certificate will be handed over to the heads of the institution today at the selected camp offices. Students who want to apply for scrutiny have a deadline till 17 June 2022.
