24th World Education Summit conducted in Hyderabad

24th edition of the World Education Summit was conducted on July 27, 2022, in Hyderabad.
According to the press release issued, the Chairperson of the National Institute of Open Schooling, Professor Saroj Sharma, was invited as the keynote speaker for the 24th edition of the World Education Summit, which was conducted on July 27, 2022, in Hyderabad.
The chairperson talked about the achievements that have been made by NIOS and the new education policies made by the government and the effects of them. During the presentation, Professor Sharma elucidated the main focus factors of the New Education Policy 2020, which are Access, Equity, Quality, Skill Development, and Value Education.
She highlighted the development and achievements made in NIOS, especially by the students enrolled in vocational education, skill development programmes, digital platforms and inclusive education.
The NIOS chairperson gave credit to the efforts made by NIOS in the Sign Language domain of India, which is run by the National Institute of Open Schooling, for winning the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize in 2021.
World Summit Education is a platform to discuss the developments made in the education sector.
