AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022: IIIT Delhi opens applications for P.h.D programmes

A fellowship of Rs 31000 will be provided for the first 2 years and Rs 35000 will be provided in the third year.

The applications for admissions into P.h.D programmes under AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022 have been started by Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi. The applications are for different streams of P.h.D namely Computational Biology (CB), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE).

Eligibility criteria for AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022

Before applying candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 70% (General category) or 65% (SC/ST/PH category) in Post graduation and graduation.
In case percentage marks are not available, then a minimum CGPA of 7.5 (General category) or 7.0 (SC/ST/PH category) out of a scale of 10 is required.
Candidates must have qualified GATE or NET exam in the last five years.
A candidate’s age shouldn’t be more than 30 years.
Five-year age relaxation will be provided for the candidates belonging to Women/SC/ST/Physically challenged category.

Under the scheme Rs, 31000 fellowship will be provided for the first two years, and then Rs 35000 fellowship will be provided in the third year. The HRA will be provided as per the Government norms. Additional financial support for purchasing laptops, Overseas Research Fellowships (ORF), travel for research, etc will be provided.

Selection process for AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022

After the submission of applications, based on the academic records, SOPs, etc candidates will be shortlisted for the interview round. The selections will be based on the interview marks. The relaxation will be given in the final cutoff marks to candidates belonging to the reservation category.
