The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has started the registration of lateral entry admission into B.Tech programmes under Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022. The admissions are currently going on for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh candidates who have completed their Diplomas in certain engineering streams. Only Engineering stream admissions into various AICTE-approved colleges/institutes/universities are going on.
To register, candidates have to visit the official website of AICTE, aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in, and click on the Diploma registration 2022-23 link.
The registration started on 29 August 2022 and will end on 5 September 2022(5:00 pm). The certificate verification started on 30 August 2022 and will end on 7 September 2022. Candidates can exercise their choices from 1 September 2022 to 12 September 2022. The provisional merit list followed by the final merit list will be published on 8 September 2022 and 12 September 2022 respectively. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored in 10+2 and Diploma.
The seat allocation will be done on 13 September 2022 based on the merit list and the choices filled by the candidates. Candidates have to finalize their allotted seats by 15 September 2022. Candidates have to report to their allotted institute between 13 September 2022 and 24 September 2022.
Eligibility criteria to get admissions via Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022
- Candidates must belong to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
- Candidate must have completed a Diploma, not before the 2021-22 academic session.
- The candidate must have passed from the J & K board of Technical Education.
Benefits from Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022
Under the PMSS 2022 scheme candidates will get the following benefits:- An academic fee of up to Rs 1.25 lakh per annum.
- Maintenance allowance of up to Rs 1 lakh per annum to meet hostel, books, mess, stationery, and other expenses. The payment will be made in 10 equal installments.
