The Common Admission Test registration process commenced on August 3, 2022. All the details related to filing the application form are mentioned below. CAT 2022 CAT 2022: Candidates who have still not submitted their CAT application form 2022, are advised to visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in to file their application. The Common Admission Test registration process 2022 will conclude on September 14, 2022, according to the official notification which was released on 31 July 2022. The CAT registration process 2022 began on August 3, 2022. Candidates who belong to General/ EWS/ NC-OBC category need to pay an application fee of Rs. 2,300, whereas candidates who come under the SC/ ST/ PwD category, are entitled to pay an application fee of Rs Rs 1,150. Along with the application fees, candidates also need to submit the following documents:
  • DOB certificate
  • Proof of address
  • Marksheet of class 10 and 12
  • Graduation marksheet or passing certificate
  • Certificate of final year (for candidates who graduated last year)
  • Identification Card
  • passport size photograph and signature (Scanned)
  • Status of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Work Experience (if applicable)
  • Caste category certificate (if applicable)
  • Scribe certificate (if applicable)
  • Credit/ Debit card or net banking details

Here are the steps to fill the application form for CAT 2022

  1. Candidates can find the application forms at the official website iimcat.ac.in
  2. Then click on the link that reads “New Candidate Registration” on the homepage
  3. Enter the required registration details
  4. After registering the system will provide ID and password.
  5. Use the login credentials to fill the application form
  6. Upload the documents
  7. Check all the information provided
  8. Pay the registration fees and click on submit
  9. Download the application form and take a printout for further reference

What is the eligibility criteria to be a part of the CAT registration process 2022?

According to the guidelines released, there is no age criteria to apply for CAT. Candidates require a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% in case of general category and 45% in case of SC, ST and PWD/DA category, to be eligible to apply for CAT 2022. Candidates must note that providing work experience is not mandatory for the process. The degree provided should be from a recognized board. Reservation benefits will be given to candidates on the basis of the category they come under. Applicants who are appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree examination, or are waiting for their results, are eligible to appear for the examination. According to the schedule the examination will be conducted on November 27, 2022 in a Computer Based Test format. Examination Centres have been booked in a total of 150 cities across the country. The test will take place in three slots. The first slot will start at 8:30 am and will end by 10:30 am, followed by the second slot which will begin at 12:30 pm and will conclude by 2:30 pm. The third slot will begin at 4:30 pm and will continue till 6:30 pm.
