Class 12 marksheet to be used as tie breaker, in case two or more than two candidates secure same CUET scores. The decision has been made by Delhi University and Ambedkar University. UG Admissions 2022 UG Admissions 2022: Recently, Delhi University, also commonly famously known as DU, announced that if two or more candidates secure the same CUET score, then in that case the department will be using class 12th scores as a tiebreaker. Which means candidates will be given preference on the basis of marks obtained in both CUET and Class 12 board exams. UG Admissions 2022 for the universities which are affiliated with Common University Entrance, CUET-UG, will begin after the declaration of CUET results. The National Testing Agency is conducting CUET-UG for the very first time. According to the data released, a total of 88 universities will be given admission on the basis of CUET-UG scores.     As per the guidelines released by DU, four scenarios will be used, which will be based on the scores secured in CUET and the number of candidates who have secured the same marks. These four scenarios are as follows:
  • A best of 3 will be calculated.
  • The best of four will be calculated.
  • A best of 5 will be calculated.
  • In case the above mentioned scenarios don’t work out, then preference will be given to candidates on the basis of the birth date mentioned on the marksheet of class 10.
According to various media reports, Ambedkar University has also decided to go with the same method as the tie-breaking rule. The four best candidates will be admitted to Ambedkar University. If both the CUET and Class 12 results are the same, the applicant who is older will be considered for admission.   The wait for the admission process to begin will not come to an end till the CUET exams come to an end. The various hurdles coming up during the execution of exams have made the process of admission quite difficult.   Recently, NTA announced that it has decided to reschedule the examination which was earlier supposed to be conducted on August 23, 2022. The agency has also launched CUET grievance redressal email, cuetugdateclash@nta.ac.in, so that candidates can raise their issues. Phase 6 of admission will continue till August 30, 2022. UG Admissions 2022 are likely to begin by September, 2022, according to assumptions made by various media houses.
