The much-awaited result list has finally been published as the Consortium of National Law Universities has released the first provisional merit list. The list was issued on June 30, 2022. Candidates can now ask for an upgrade on the basis of their preference. The examination commenced on June 19, 2022 and ended on June 24, 2022.
The next step for eligible students is divided into 3 parts:
- Securing the seats.
- Requesting an upgrade based on their preferences.
- Wrapping up the application.
Candidates must note that if they withdraw from the competition, they won’t be allowed to participate in the upcoming rounds. Applicants are required to submit the essential documents for verification along with the fee to upgrade. The procedure regarding the same has been mentioned on the official website of the NLU.
The consortium released the results on June 24, 2022, and the registration for counselling ended on June 27, 2022. The other 5 sets of lists for the seat allocation are being arranged by the institutions. The second merit list will be released on July 7, 2022, followed by the third merit list, which will be released on July 12, 2022; the fourth merit list will be released on July 16, 2022; and the last merit list will be released on July 19, 2022.

- The CLAT 2022 First Merit List has been released on consortium onlus.ac.in.
- You need to click on the link that reads "Download 1st Provisional Merit List" which will be available on the homepage.
- Choose one option from the 3 options that will be provided.
- Enter the login credentials and the merit list will appear on the screen.
This year, 60,895 candidates applied for CLAT 2022, out of which 56,472 showed up for the exam. Candidates must note that only those who have completed their counselling registration will be considered for admission.
