CM Himanta Biswa Sarma innaugrates 1000 Assam Anganwadi centres

The Assam Government aims at building approximately 15,000 anganwadis in remote parts of the state, for overall development of students who belong to these parts of Assam. Assam Anganwadi centres Assam Anganwadi centres: On Sunday, August 14, 2022, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, inaugurated approximately 1,000 Assam model Anganwadi centres. He also announced that the Assam government is planning to inaugurate a total of 15,000 anganwadis across the state. The event was conducted at the RB Higher Secondary School playground, which is located in the Palasbari assembly constituency. While interacting with the media, the Chief Minister announced that these anganwadis will help the students who belong to the most remote parts of the state. The government is planning to build 15,000 Anganwadis by 2026. Through Anganwadis, the government aims to focus on the mental as well as physical growth of the children. During the event, the CM encouraged the parents to get their children enrolled in these anganwadis for the overall development of their children. He mentioned that building anganwadis is as important as building an engineering or medical college. Important figures like Kamrup District Guardian Minister Chandramohan Patowary, Parliamentarian Queen Ojha, Palasbari MLA Hemanga Thakuria, Hajo MLA Suman Haripriya, Kamalpur MLA Diganta Kalita, and Bharatiya Janata Party state president Bhabesh Kalita, were also present at the event. The Chief Minister first inaugurated the Model Anganwadi Centre, which is located in Kaitasidhi, which comes under the Chayani Barduar ICDS Project at Palasbari.
