NEET-UG 2022 NEET-UG 2022: On July 17, 2022, more than 15 lakh candidates appeared for one of the most competitive examinations which is conducted in the country, NEET-UG. Candidates who appeared for the examination at a centre in Sreenagar, Rajasthan had to face issues as they were told to write the examination twice. The problem did not end there. After writing the paper twice, the council told the aspirants that they would have to re-appear for the examination. The examination was scheduled to be conducted at 2 p.m. and conclude at 5:20 p.m. At around 4:30 p.m.when 2 and a half hours had already passed, authorities present in the exam centre informed the students that they had mistakenly mixed the Hindi question paper with the English question paper and had given the bilingual questions for Hindi students to candidates who opted for the English medium and vice-versa. Later, the students were told that due to the mix-up issue, they would have to write the paper again and they would be given extra time for that. One of the students reported that since the question paper was the same as before, the candidates completed the examination by 6 p.m. But later, the authorities told them that the answer sheets wouldn’t be accepted and that candidates would have to re-appear for the examination. Later on the same day, an announcement was made that candidates wouldn’t be allowed to carry their question papers along with them. The announcement was made after the candidates asked the authorities to inform their parents about the mix-up. Candidates started panicking, and soon parents and students started protesting outside the examination centre. The city coordinator, on the instruction of the NTA, went to solve the problem as soon as he got to know that the question booklets had been interchanged. A total of 1,174 aspirants have been affected by this whole mis-happening. According to the city examination coordinator, the NEET exam centre had to take a decision to re-test as some of the candidates refused to write the paper again. He told the police that he gave the photostate of the OMR sheets to the candidates to complete the examination, but the decision was not accepted by some of the candidates. As a result, at some point, the coordinator gave up and called the National Testing Agency, stating that the problem had become unresolvable now. According to the factual report which has been submitted by the centre superintendent, he also believes that the examination should be conducted again for students who appeared for the examination in the centre with code no. 392501. The examination took place at the students' Army Public School, located in a town called Sreenagar, which comes under the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan.
