IIT JAM 2023 registration portal to close on October 11, 2022; Results to be announced on 23 Mar, 2023

The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati is currently conducting the registrations for Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2023. Interested candidates have time till October 11, 2022 to submit the application forms.

IIT JAM 2023:The registrations for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2023 are underway. According to the schedule released, the deadline to submit the application forms is October 11, 2022. Interested candidates can visit the official website, jam.iitg.ac.in, to submit the IIT JAM application form.

As per the guidelines released, the computer-based test examination will be conducted in seven test papers. The examination, which will be conducted on February 12, 2023, will be held at undergraduate level. According to the tentative schedule announced, the result is expected to be released on March 22, 2023.

The online applications for admission will be released between April 11 and April 25, 2022. Candidates are advised to submit the application forms within the given deadline, or else their application forms won’t be accepted. The steps to apply for IIT JAM 2023 are listed down below.

IIT JAM 2023 : How to apply?

  1. Go to the official website at jam.iitg.ac.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the "JOAPS 2023: Candidate Portal" link.
  3. If the candidate is a new user, he/she needs to register first.
  4. Then enter the system-generated login credentials and click on submit.
  5. Feed in the required details in the application form.
  6. Upload the required documents.
  7. Check all the information provided and then pay the application fees.
  8. Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference.

All the seven test papers will be of three-hour duration. There will be a total of 60 questions in each test, carrying 100 marks each. The question paper will be divided into three sections: A, B, and C. Candidates can conduct the examination in English only.

Candidates must note that all the sections are compulsory. There will be objective type questions like Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

The application fee for females and candidates from the SC/ST/PwD categories is Rs 900 for one test paper, and Rs 1250 for two test papers.For all the other candidates, the application fee is Rs. 1800 if they want to apply for one test paper and Rs. 2500 if they want to apply for two test papers.
