The PUC marks for current year passed out candidates will not be considered for ranking evaluation of KCET UG ranking. KCET 2022 The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has decided not to consider Pre-University Certificate (PUC) marks for the students who have passed 12th this year for Karnataka CET ranking evaluation 2022. The decision was made in light of the 24,000 past year passed out students who appeared for their improvement of ranks. Last year the class 12th examination was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Due to which, their SSLC examination marks, 1st PUC examination marks, internal marks of class 12th, marks in good behaviour, grace marks and KCET scores were considered for rankings. This year the class 12th examination was held and students have their PUC marks with them. It will be unfair for the current year students if their PUC marks will be considered for ranking. The KEA has also decided not to consider the 12th marks of the CBSE and ISC boards. This decision has received angry reactions from the students and their parents. Certain candidates have been complaining about a drop in their rankings after withdrawing their class 12th marks. Due to this, a lot of candidates are not able to take admissions in the college of their choice or are forced to opt for management quota, which is quite expensive.
