KCET 2022 revised result declared; Committee suggests to increase IT related seats by 10%

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2022 revised ranking for 2022 has been declared by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Results are available at kea.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in.

KCET Results 2022: The revised ranking list for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2022 has been made public by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Eligible candidates who sat for the examination can view their updated rankings on the official websites of KCET—kea.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in.

On September 23, the Karnataka High Court accepted the expert committee's proposal to call for a normalisation process to check for repeater questions. Post the release of the revised ranking list, the first round of student counselling sessions will start on October 3.

How to check the KCET 2022 revised results?

  1. Go to the official KCET websites at kea.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in.
  2. On the homepage, select the link to the KCET 2022 updated rank list.
  3. Enter the candidate's valid login information.
  4. A screen will display the candidate's scorecard.
  5. Save and download the scorecard for later use.

According to the expert committee's recommendations, 100 qualifying marks will be reduced by a total of six points to evaluate repeaters. This includes six points for physics, five points for chemistry, and seven points for mathematics. To protect the interests of the candidates, the committee also recommended increasing the number of seats related to IT to 10%.

The KCET test took place this year on June 16, 17, and 18. Around 2,16,559 applicants applied in total, and 2,10,829 of those candidates showed up for the test.
