KCET option entry 2022 facility to commence from 7 Oct; Deadline to fill the choices is 11 Oct

The Karnataka Examinations Authority, KEA will release Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET 2022, option entry facility for round 1 on October 7, 2022. The result will be issued at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.

KCET option entry 2022: The Karnataka Examinations Authority is going to commence the KCET web option entry from October 7, 2022. The facility to enter the preferred colleges and courses will be available at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. The deadline to complete the KCET 2022 web option entry for round 1 is October 11, 2022.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET 2022 are eligible to appear for counselling and seat allotment. The KCET counselling process is divided into five stages:

  1. Online registration
  2. Choice filling
  3. Choice locking
  4. Seat allotment
  5. Payment of the admission fee

According to the schedule released, the KCET mock allotment round will be conducted on October 13, 2022. Shortlisted candidates from round 1 who wish to change their option will have the provision to do so between October 13 and 15, 2022. The seat allotment for round 1 will be displayed on October 17, 2022.

KCET option entry 2022: How to fill preferred colleges?

  1. The web option to change and fill the preferred options will be available at the official website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/.
  2. On the homepage, click on the link that reads “ "KCET option entry.”.
  3. Key in the required CET number and security pin and click on submit.
  4. Follow the instructions provided and create a username of their choice.
  5. Use the newly created username to access the KCET options.
  6. Check all the options provided and the eligibility criteria.
  7. Select the preferred and then submit.

Candidates must note that they have the option to select as many choices as possible. As per the guidelines released, the KCET seat allotment results will be prepared on the basis of various factors, namely, rank secured in the CET examination, candidate’s category seat availability and choices locked by the students.

Candidates must not forget to carry their provisional seat allotment letter while reporting to their allotted colleges.
