MCC releases the application for NEET-UG counselling round 1; Registration portal to close on 17 Oct

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the application forms for National Eligibility Entrance Test, NEET UG counselling in 2022 round 1. Interested candidates can visit the official website, mcc.nic.in, to apply for counselling.

NEET UG Counselling 2022: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started inviting applications for NEET UG counselling in 2022. Candidates who have successfully cleared the National Eligibility Entrance Test are eligible to apply for admission to MBBS programmes. Application forms are available at the MCC website, mcc.nic.in.

As per the information mentioned on the official schedule, the deadline to apply for round 1 of the counselling process is 11 am on October 17, 2022. The steps mentioned below are those through which candidates can apply for the registration process.

NEET UG Counselling 2022: Here’s a step-by-step guide to registering for the first round of counselling.

  1. In order to register for the counselling process, candidates need to visit the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the relevant link for "UG Medical Counselling".
  3. Candidates who are new to the website will have to register first in order to apply for the counselling, whereas candidates who have already registered will just have to use their login credentials to access the application form.
  4. Mention the required NEET-UG details, like application number, mother’s name, etc., to complete the registration process.
  5. Use the system-generated login credentials to access the application form.
  6. Provide all the details required to complete the application form and upload the documents.
  7. Check all the information provided and pay the application fees.
  8. Click on submit and download the confirmation page.
  9. Take a printout for future reference.

The MCC holds NEET counselling every year for 15% of AIQ seats in government colleges and 100% of seats in deemed central/universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programs.The NEET-UG examination was conducted in a pen and paper-based format on July 17, 2022. The board announced the result on September 7, 2022.

NEET-UG is India’s most registered examination with more than 15 lakh candidates applying for it every year. This year a total of 17,64,571 candidates appeared for the examination, out of which 9,93,069 candidates were able to clear the examination successfully.
