NEET UG 2022 answer key released today; steps to raise objections for the answer key

The challenged answer will be verified by the expert panel and if found correct, the answer keys will be modified and published on the day of the result. NEET UG 2022 The NEET 2022 objection window will be closing today, on 2 September 2022 at 11:50 pm. Candidates must ensure they raise objections before the deadline, or else their challenges won’t be accepted. Candidates can visit the official website of NTA, neet.nta.nic.in to challenge the answer keys and their OMR sheet grading. If the challenges are accepted by the National Testing Agency, the modified answer key will be published along with results on 7 September 2022.  The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the NEET UG provisional answer keys, candidates’ response sheets, and question paper on 31 August 2022.  As per NTA’s official notice published on 25 August 2022, candidates have to pay Rs 200 per answer challenged. Candidates also have to pay Rs 200 to appeal, if they feel they have been graded unfairly in their response sheet.

Steps to view and challenge NEET UG 2022 answer keys

  1. Go to the official website of NTA, neet.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on the “Answer Key, Scanned Image of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Response Challenge” link.
  3. Now a new tab will open up where you have to enter your application number and password or date of birth to log in.
  4. After logging in click on the “Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s)” link.
  5. You will find the list of questions with their correct options, which NTA will be using to grade the candidates.
  6. For the questions, you wish to challenge, click on the option which you feel is correct in the next column. 
  7. You can upload the supporting documents for your answers.
  8. Now click on “save your claim.”
  9. Now a list of challenges raised by you will be displayed, verify them and click on “Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally.”
  10. Make the payment online and take printout of the answer key challenge receipt.

Steps to Challenge NEET 2022 OMR Sheet grading

  1. After logging in, click on the “OMR Challenge Link.”
  2. Select the question from the list provided that you wish to challenge.
  3. Your recorded response to that question will be displayed, along with the “candidate’s claim” column.
  4. In the “candidate’s claim” column three options are provided out of which you need to select the appropriate one and then click on submit.
  5. The list of challenged questions will open up, verify them and click on “Submit and Pay Fee Finally.”
  6. Now make payment online and take the printout of your challenge application.

Admission procedure for undergraduate medical and dental courses in different institutions across India

  1. All India ranks will be prepared based on the merit list on the basis of  NEET (UG) scores. 
  2. Candidates seeking admissions under the state quota will be governed by the eligibility criteria and reservation policy prescribed by the respective states or Union Territories.
  3. Counselling for UG courses in AIIMS, Central Universities, JIPMER, Deemed Universities, and ESIC Medical Colleges will be done by DGHS and the reservation policy of the above-mentioned universities will be followed. For participating in the counselling process, candidates have to register themselves on the MCC website.
  4. Candidates seeking admission in AFMC, Pune, will have to qualify the eligibility norms and reservation policy prescribed by the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
The candidates must carefully follow the counselling process prescribed by the designated authorities who are in charge of conducting admissions for their choice of Colleges/Institutions/Universities.
