NEET UG 2022 Counselling; MCC issues notice regarding conversion from Indian to NRI nationality

In its latest notice, the Medical Counselling Committee(MCC) has asked the candidates to send their documents supporting their NRI claim. Previously, candidates have expressed to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI as per the order of the Supreme court of India. Candidates can visit the official website of MCC, mcc.nic.in to view the official notice.

Candidates have to mail their documents supporting their nationality claim to MCC via mail, ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com. The mail has to be sent between 7 October 2022(10:00 am) to 11 October 2022(10:00 am).

Candidates have claimed their nationality to be NRI as per the orders of the Honourable Supreme Court of India in the case “(W.P. (C) No.689/2017- Consortium of Deemed universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union Of India & Ors.) dated 22-08-2017.”

MCC has released the NEET UG 2022 counselling schedule, which is supposed to start from 11 October 2022.

Documents required to be sent to MCC

Candidates have to submit the following documents to support their conversion claim:

  1. Duly filled form is attached to the MCC notice issued on 6 October 2022.
  2. Passport or Visa document of the candidate’s sponsor.
  3. Relationship certificate of the NRI with the candidate.
  4. Affidavit by sponsorer to pay candidate’s course fee.
  5. Sponsorer’s embassy certificate.
  6. NEET score card.

Candidates must make sure they sent these documents within the deadline, after which the requests will not be considered.
