NEET UG 2022 provisional answer key and results date announced

Candidates requesting their OMR sheets will get the same at their registered email addresses. The OMR sheet grading can be challenged by paying an online fee of Rs 200. NEET UG 2022 The uploading of the provisional answer keys and the OMR sheets of candidates for NEET UG 2022 on the official website of the NTA has been proposed on 30 August 2022. Whereas the results of the exam will be declared by 7 September 2022, as per the latest public notice issued by the NTA. Candidates can visit the official website of the NTA, neet.nta.nic.in to check the notice. Candidates can challenge the provisional answer keys online by paying a fee of Rs 200 per challenge. Also, candidates who wish to challenge their OMR grading can do so by paying Rs 200 per challenge online. In order to view their OMR grading, NTA will be sending the scanned copy of the OMR sheets to the respective candidates at their email addresses. The procedure to apply for challenging the answer key, and OMR sheet grading will be notified soon by the NTA. The merit list will be prepared as per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Dental Council of India and the National Medical Commission.

Criteria to become eligible for admissions into undergraduate medical courses through NEET UG 2022

In order to become eligible for admission into medical UG courses via NEET UG 2022, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
  1. General candidates must secure marks in the 50th percentile, SC/ST and OBC category candidates must secure marks in the 40th percentile, and PwBD category candidates must secure marks in the 45th percentile, on a minimum, in the NEET UG 2022 exam.
  2. General category candidates must have scored 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology combined in their 12th final examination. Whereas for the SC/ST and OBC category candidates, and PwBD candidates, 40% marks must be scored.

Tie-breaking criteria for NEET UG 2022 merit list preparation

Following tie-breaking criteria will be followed in case the candidates’ scores are tied:
  1. Candidate's highest score in Biology followed by Chemistry and Physics will be followed at first.
  2. In case the tie still persists, then less number of incorrect answers attempted in Biology, followed by Chemistry and Physics will be followed.
  3. If the tie still persists, then older candidates will be given first priority.
  4. If there is still a tie, then the candidate’s application number in ascending order will be considered.
