Along with this, NIT Rourkela is also co-hosting the JoSAA seat allocation. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) consists of six rounds of seat allocation. The registration process has already begun. The CSAB-special round of counselling will begin after the JoSAA seat allocation rounds are completed. The tentative date is October 24, 2022. The counselling process is expected to be concluded by November 6, 2022.
According to the latest statements released by the Chairperson of the Local Organising Committee, Mukesh K Gupta, the authorities have made a few changes to make the counselling process easier for the participants.
A multilingual telephone line in Hindi, English, Odia, Bangla, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam has been established in order to assist the students and parents through the counselling process in their local language.
The multilingual help desk has also been set up to help with documents, immersive readers, and dedicated PwD. The management has also started using social media to make candidates aware about the counselling process, particularly those from socially and economically disadvantaged groups.
The counselling team's primary goal is to reach out to candidates from rural backgrounds who face linguistic barriers and want to pursue higher education at NITs/IIEST/IIITs/SPAs/GFITs.
