The re-exam of RRB NTPC typing test shift 1 which was canceled on 12 August 2022 has now been rescheduled to 27 August 2022.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has rescheduled the RRB NTPC Typing Test exam to 27 August 2022. The exam was originally scheduled on 12 August 2022 but was canceled due to technical reasons. Candidates can visit the official website of RRB, rrbcdg.gov.in for the official notice.
The RRB will be uploading the exam schedule along with the exam center details on 19 August 2022. The e-call letters will be available on the official website four days prior to the exam.
The typing skill test is for the candidates who have cleared the first two stages of the exam and have applied for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, and Junior Time Keeper posts. This test is only for qualifying and marks secured in it will not be considered for merit.
In order to qualify for this skill test, candidates need to type 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi on a computer system. Candidates have to write error-free answers without any use of editing and correcting tools.
The candidates who fall in the category of less than 40% of permanent disability (Blindness or Low Vision, LocoMotor disability, and Cerebral Palsy) are exempted from attending the typing skill test. Such candidates need to produce typing skill test exemption certificate from the competent medical board. The format of the certificate is provided in the annexures of the RRB NTPC recruitment notification. Candidates have to upload the scanned copy of the certificate on the RRB website before appearing for the typing test.
After the typing test, a merit list will be prepared as per the performance of the candidates in stage 1 CBT, stage 2 CBT, typing skill test, or CBAT (for Station Master and Traffic Assistant posts). Based on the merit list candidates will be called for document verification.
If two candidates have secured the same score on the merit list, then the RRB will remove the tie by considering the age of the candidate with the older one being given first preference.
