SSC CGL 2022 notification to be released on Sep 17; Selection to be held in four stages

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be releasing the SSC CGL notification 2022 on 17 September 2022. The mode of application will be online. Candidates must make sure they apply and make the fee payments before the application deadline. For applying online, candidates have to visit the official website of the SSC, ssc.nic.in.

The SSC conducts the CGL exam for recruitment into the following Group B and C posts:

Assistant Audit Officer Assistant Section Officer (Ministry of External Affairs) Inspector(Central Excise)
Assistant Accounts Officer Assistant Section Officer (AFHQ) Inspector (Preventive Officer)
Assistant Section Officer (Central Secretariat Service) Assistant (Other Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations) Inspector (Examiner)

Eligibility criteria for SSC CGL 2022

Candidates have to satisfy the following eligibility criteria to appear for exams:
  1. Candidates must be a citizen of India, the subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee, or an Indian origin who migrated from other countries.
  2. Candidates, ages must be between 18 or 20 years and 27 or 28 or 30 or 32 years depending upon certain posts.
  3. Age relaxation will be granted for certain categories of candidates(refer to SSC CGL 2022 notification).

Scheme and pattern of SSC CGL 2022 exam

There will be four stages of the selection process. Tier 1 and 2 will be online computer-based objective tests, tier 3 will be a descriptive paper test in offline mode and tier 4 will be Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test. Candidates have to clear each tier of the exam to become eligible for selection. In case, a candidate fails to qualify in any stage, then they will not be eligible to take part in further stages.
