TANCET 2023 exam date announced for Masters programme; exam on Feb 25 and 26

The morning shift timing of the exam will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and the afternoon shift timing will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. TANCET 2023 Anna University, Chennai has released the tentative exam schedule for the TANCET exam 2023. The schedule is for the admissions into MCA, MBA, and M.E/M.Tech/M.Plan/M.Arch programmes offered by various institutions /universities/colleges across Tamil Nadu. For the MCA programme, the exam will be held on the morning shift of 25 February 2023. For M.E/M.Tech/M.Plan/M. Arch programmes exam will be held on the afternoon shift of 25 February 2023. For MBA programmes exam will be held on the morning shift of 26 February 2023. The exam timings for the morning and afternoon shifts are 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm respectively. Eligibility criteria for TANCET 2023

Candidates have to satisfy the following criteria to become eligible to appear for the exam.
  1. Candidates must possess an equivalent Bachelor’s programme degree.
  2. Candidates who are awaiting their final semester exam results of their Bachelor’s programme can also apply.
  3. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination.

How will Tamil Nadu nativity be considered for TANCET 2023?

Candidates who have studied continuously for 5 years after standard 12th will be considered as a native of Tamil Nadu. Also, the candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu but have studied their 12th/Diploma/Bachelor’s outside Tamil Nadu have to produce their nativity certificate at the time of admission.

Criteria for admissions into Master programmes via TANCET 2023

For admissions into master programmes, TANCET 2023 or GATE 2021/2022/2023 scores will be considered. For becoming eligible for admissions through GATE scores, candidates need to score the cutoff scores prescribed by the TANCET. For the candidates who will be appearing or have appeared in the Engineering Sciences (XE) / Life Sciences (XL) papers of the GATE exam, they will be required to appear for TANCET 2023 exam. The overall qualifying marks will be calculated from both GATE and TANCET exams.
