The Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE) for the year 2023 will be conducted by IIT Kanpur. The detailed notification and the online application window for registering in GATE 2023 will be released in the first week of September 2022. Candidates must visit the official website regularly for regular updates on GATE 2023. The official exam dates announced by IIT Kanpur are 4, 5, 11, and 12 February 2023. The mode of exam will be online (Computer based test) and candidates will have to choose from a total of 29 subjects to appear in the exam. For some subjects candidates will get a choice of selecting two papers. The GATE 2023 will contain subjects from various undergraduate programs in the field of Engineering, Humanities, Science, and Social Science. Candidates who are currently in 3rd year of their undergraduate program are also eligible to apply for GATE 2023.
Added benefits of qualifying in GATE 2023
- Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) accept GATE scores for their recruitment process. Candidates will be directly called for an interview if their GATE score meets the criteria of the particular PSU.
- Candidates will be eligible for certain master's programs offered by various IITs and NITs along with the financial assistance provided to them.
