UPPSC PCS 2022 prelims result declared

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Prayagraj, declared the UPPSC PCS prelims result on 27 July 2022. Candidates can check the results by visiting the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in. UPPSC has released the list of roll numbers of the qualified candidates in a PDF file on its website. Candidates can check for their roll numbers on this file.
A total of 329,310 candidates appeared for the prelims exam, out of which 5,964 candidates have made it to the mains exam of the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS).
Steps to check your UPPSC PCS 2022 prelims result
- Visit the official website of UPPSC, uppsc.up.nic.in.
- Under the information bulletin heading, click on the “LIST OF CANDIDATES QUALIFIED FOR THE COMBINED STATE/UPPER SUBORDINATE SERVICES(MAINS) EXAM-2022” link.
- A PDF file will open on a new tab stating the list of qualified candidates for the main exam.
- You can check whether your roll number is present in that list or not.
The mains exam will be held on 27 September 2022. It consists of the following 8 papers where descriptive type questions are asked:
- General Hindi(150 marks)
- Essay(150 marks)
- General Studies-1(200 marks)
- General Studies-2(200 marks)
- General Studies-3(200 marks)
- General Studies-4(200 marks)
- Optional Subject-1(200 marks)
- Optional Subject-2(200 marks)
A total of 1500 marks are there. Candidates who will clear the main exam will qualify for the interview round which carries 100 marks. The prelims marks are not considered for deciding the merit list for UPPSC PCS 2022. The marks secured in mains subjects i.e GS-1,2,3,4 and optional subjects and in interviews are used to decide the merit list. However, candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in Essay and General Hindi paper, or else their rest of the mains paper won’t be evaluated.
