UGC-NET Phase 2 exam rescheduled to September 20th

Phase 2 of the UGC-NET exam 2022 which was originally scheduled to be held on 12-14 August 2022 has been rescheduled between 20-30 September 2022.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) in its public notice published on 8 August 2022 has informed that phase 2 of the UGC-NET exam 2022 which was supposed to be conducted on 12-14 August 2022 has been rescheduled to happen between 20-30 September 2022. Candidates can visit the website of the NTA, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, for more details.
The UGC-NET phase 1 (Dec 2021-July 2022 merged cycle) was conducted from 9-12 July 2022, the phase 2 of this merged cycle has been rescheduled for the sole purpose of conducting all the remaining papers in a single phase.

UGC-NET exam is conducted for testing the eligibility of candidates for “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor” jobs across different colleges and universities in India.
By qualifying in UGC-NET, candidates also become eligible for Fellowships in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Minorities Affairs.
The exam will be conducted in online, computer-based test mode for 3 hours, which has two papers namely paper-1 and paper-2. Paper 1 consists of 50 questions on reasoning ability, reading comprehension, and general awareness. It will assess the research and teaching aptitude of the candidate. Paper-2 consists of 100 questions from the subject domain selected by the candidate.
A total of 300 marks will be there in the exam with 100 marks from paper 1 and 200 marks from paper 2.
