The IOAA’s main goal is to promote interest in astronomy and associated subjects, particularly among young people, and improve worldwide cooperation in promoting astronomy and astrophysics in schools. As a result of activities like IOAA, more brilliant high school students are expected to be interested in studying astronomy at the university level to become the next generation astronomers.

This year, the 15th IOAA Olympiad will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Candidates who will take this test can learn everything they need to know about the IOAA 2022. In this article, we will discuss the IOAA exam date in detail.
Stages of IOAA Exam
The astronomy Olympiad programme is divided into four stages:
- Stage I: National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA)
- Stage II: Indian National Astronomy Olympiad (INAO)
- Stage III: Orientation-cum-selection Camp (OCSC) in Astronomy
- Stage IV: Pre-departure Training Camp (PDT) for IOAA
- Stage V: International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA)
Under the International Olympiad Qualifier in Astronomy or IOQA, the stage I National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA) and stage II Indian National Astronomy Olympiad (INAO) would be held in a single sitting for the examinee on the same day for IOAA 2022-23.
