Preparation Tips for ISO
- Students should become familiar with the ISO exam format and begin to prepare for it.
- Along with conceptual knowledge, the exam evaluates the students’ observational and logical abilities. There won’t be any direct questions; rather, the basis of a question will more often be an application of a previously learned subject.
- Students must carefully go over the textbooks that the school board (ICSE/CBSE/State Board) has recommended. Additionally, to improve the ISO ranking, students can refer to books that are available for Olympiad preparation.
- Practise the question papers from the previous years in advance if students are taking ISO for the first time or if they regularly participate in the exam. Students’ understanding of the types of questions given will improve once they have completed the sample papers. They help speed up the process of attempting the questions within the allotted time. The official website is where students can find the sample papers.
- Prepare study materials ahead of time. Do not squander time frantically searching for study resources.
- Make a schedule and follow it. Practise a variety of subjects. Work on the areas of weakness. Start well in advance and plan well so that you don’t want to overwhelm yourself.
